On July 11, 1893 Andrew and his small family left their native land to come to join their family in the United States. Anna’s sisters and children had already made the trip. The only one left behind was her son Karl Johan who chose not to come. They left from the Port of Gothenburg that morning heading towards Liverpool, England to travel in the Steamship, Alaska heading towards New York. He used the name Anders Grön during his travels until he arrived in Utah and changed his last name to Andrew Johnson. Anders Gron age 66, Anna M – Mother age 62 and Delia S age 21

Andrew Johnson is listed as a father-in law 83 years old Widowed Speaks Swedish. He is living with his daughter Delia Sophia and her husband August Rolland and his four grandchildren. His wife died 14 years ago.
