Dread Dawson & Elizabeth Jane Patterson
Dread Dawson was born in Virginia at the beginning of the Revolutionary was in 1771. Dreads family moved to Georgia shortly after the war. He was a wealthy farmer that moved from Georgia, to Alabama, Mississippi, and finally settling permanently in a Texas settlement during the Mexican occupation. Dreads son Britton Jr. faught the Mexican dictator Santa Ana.
Britton Dawson & Sabra Williams
Britton Dawson was born in 1735, Isle of Wight, Virginia. He married Sabra Williams and in May 1785 He was awarded a land grant in Georgia for service in the Revolutionary War. They raised their family in Richmond, Georgia.
