Nancy Elizabeth Goza & Jacob Wesbrook Helm

Nancy married Jacob after the Civil War. They had five children and he passed away leaving her a widow at the age of 26 years old. Jacob was enlisted in the Calvary as a Confederate Soldier in the Civil War in 1863. He moved to Union County Arkansas and homesteaded 160 acres of land where his family would continue to reside for generations.

Benjamin Goza & Sarah Elizabeth Brown

Benjamin Goza was a Private in the Civil War. He married Sarah in 1853 Union County, Arkansas. They had eleven children and nine survived to adulthood. They raised their family in Union Co., Arkansas.

Peter Jarrett Goza and Elizabeth "Betsey" Mathews

Peter Jarrett Goza born 1774. He was the son of Aaron Goza, who was descended from an Italian nobleman named Gossi who immigrated to the Netherlands, where the named changed to Goza or Gossey. Jarrett married Elizabeth “Betsey” Mathews (Mathis) in 1801. They moved around from Georgia to South Carolina.
