May Ross
May Ross Helm was born in Cleburne, Texas. At the age of 17, she met and married Charles Augustus Helm (Age 22) in Union, Arkansas 1897. They raised seven children. They were farmers with a gorgeous flower garden and a splendid vegetable garden. They were life long members of the Methodist Church
William Jackson Ross
William Jackson Ross was born in Maury, Tennessee. His father John died in a logging accident when he was a young boy. Williams family moved to Texas. He had the California Gold Rush fever. After finding his fortune he enlisted in the Civil War as a confederate soldier for Texas.
Sabrina Love was born in 1818 in Tennessee and married John Ross in 1833. John was a logger working in the Kentucky mountains. He was involved in a fatal accident that left his family without a husband and father. Sabrina left Tennessee with her two children and moved to Texas.
