Jacob and his brothers were born somewhere in Pennsylvania. The exact location isn’t known. The family moved to Kentucky and Ohio for a short time. After his parents died Jacob moved to Missouri with a couple of his brothers.

Nancy was born in Union, Arkansas. She and Jacob raised their family, farming the Arkansas land. Jacob and Nancy are buried in Union County, Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
